Summer calls for...

Spring Summer calles for for cute dresses and tops. Well cut, feminine and quality fabrics. Belgium is well known for avantgarde fashion and we admit, we love to talk about them. And sometimes we love to splurge, but our last name is not Rockefeller or Declerck if you want a Belgian name... ILOVEBELGIUM

We sometimes forget there are some great Belgian brands that are not so known. And that's why we created I Love Belgium, to let you discover them. So take a seat and feast your eyes at the Spring Summer 2011 collections of Sandrina Fasoli, Denk Zuid and Frankly. Three strong women, with three strong collections.

Sandrina Fasoli

Sandrina Fasoli is in fact a duo: Sandrina Fasolo & Michael Marson. They both graduated at La Cambre in Brussels. They've collected numerous awards with their label: Grand Prix in Hyères, Modo Brussels award and finalists of the Mango Fashion Award, but it's obvious, their collections are beautiful, dreamy and poetic. It's not your average girl, it's a girl that loves art, has a strong opinion, loves Godart movies and smokes too much although she knows it's bad for her.

Denk Zuid

Denk Zuid ('Think South') is the creative brainchild of Renée Van Beurden. Renée is actually Dutch, but she has been living for years and years in Antwerp. Renée didn't study fashion design but she lives and breathes fashion. She worked for years in the fashion business as a commercial agent but when she commented too much on the collections she sold, her customers told her: "Why don't you create your own collection, if you know it that well?". And because she's a very strong woman, she did it. Denk Zuid is a collection of  beautifully cut, flowy dresses. What else would a girl want more?

Frankly

Frankly my dear...we love Frankly. Designer Annelies Braeckman graduated at the Antwerp Fashion Academy and worked for years at Dries Van Noten and Maison Martin Margiela. But she got fed up and wanted to do her own thing. And right she was creating Frankly: beautiful, wearable and spot on for the active city girl. Executive-like with a sharp cut blazer and casual chic with cute cardigans.
