The Reference: Easter Eggs

Easter is getting near and the I Love Belgium Team is having a chocolate party. Between mouthfuls of Easter candy, we collected the best Belgian chocolate Easter creations. This time we worked around the theme "egg creations". Why? Well, isn't Easter is centred on the common theme of rebirth with the egg as a symbol of the source of life?  Lovely and yummy!

We start with our all-time favourite Pierre Marcolini. This Easter season he came up with two beautifully designed eggs. First we have the "Le Chef d'oeuf" this egg with handle is made of dark chocolate with a pralinated puffed rice base. Not your thing? Then go for the "Oeufs Garni", these eggs are more conventional in its approach but decorated with a pretty rectangle of dried fruits and nuts. Getting hungry?

We continue with the colorfull creations of chocolatier Benoit Nihant. We fell in love with his chicken named Céleste. And this chick has a secret: inside her tummy a basket of chocolate eggs awaits! Of course, we've also added a traditional selection of Easter eggs. Maybe less playful, but still a finger licking delight!

And we end in beauty with the traditional Easter eggs of Café Tasse. Why? We love their romantic Victorian packaging: custom printed quail egg boxes. Just as if these chocolate eggs were collected minutes before they are pleasantly devoured. These white, brown or black chocolate eggs are all filled with hocolate hazelnut praline. Happy Easter!
