Remember Bruno Pieters? The I Love Belgium team always loved this young Belgian designers' intricate collections. His YSL charm and technical genius made him instantly an it boy on the international fashion playground.
After he graduated from the Royal Academy in Antwerp he went on to work for different labels such as Martin Margiela, Josephus Thimister, Antonio Pernas and Christian Lacroix. In july 2001, Bruno was the first belgian antwerp graduate to present a couture collection during paris couture week. Suzy Menkes of the International Herald Tribune, who attended the show, described Bruno as an intruiging new talent .
In 2007 he was awarded creative director of the Hugo Boss avantgarde line, a line which was soon highly applauded. But in January 2010 Pieters announced he was taking a sabbatical. He canceled his Hugo Boss contract and stopped his own collection. He travelled around the world and rented an apartment in Paris.
At first he wanted to take one year off, but one year became two, well time flies when you're having fun! But now he's back and this teaser made by visual designer Theo Gennitsakis announces his comeback. The subtitle of the teaser is: January 30th 2012 - A pioneering brand with a radical new model for the fashion industry will debut online at 7 pm cet.
