The board of the international Design Bienalle Interieur Kortrijk, the editorial team of Weekend Knack and Le Vif Weekend, the Design Museum Gent and the team of Grand-Hornu Images awarded Brussels born designer Bram Boo the title of designer of the year 2010. The official award ceremony will take place during Design Kortrijk in October where he will also be exhibited. I Love Belgium discovered his new works at the Salone in Milan. Z33 showcased Bram Boo's "Still Life" desk. With this project, Boo uses the silent beauty of basic office items translated into storage. For instance, the monitor is to order documents; and the keyboard to order pens. Also, the "Overdose cupboard" - a new addition to Boo's "Overdose collection" which he began in 2007 will be present here.I Love Belgium discovered his new works at the Salone in Milan. Bram Boo (son of Belgian-Dutch contemporary artist Bram Bogart) born in Brussels in 1971, is a self-educated man who works as an independent designer. For him designing is a way of life, a way to surprise. He uses many techniques to achieve this element of surprise, but mostly he starts with the functionality of an object to give it its own personality.

The Belgian company Indera also launched his "Barbasso" coffee tables which fuse functionality with humour, enriched by an additional tabletop and asymmetrical legs.
