Antwerp puts on a SHOW

June, not only the beginning of summer, but also time for the annual graduation show of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp where the students from all four years show their designs at the amazing location: Hangar 29 in Antwerp. Like every year, the jury panel presented a series of Belgian as well as international experts from the fashion and creative industries including designers, fashion journalists, editors and more: Martien Mellema, creative director of VOGUE Nederland, Veerle Windels, Belgian fashion journalist and author, Manuela Brini, creative talents manager at LVMH Fashion Group in Paris, Belgian designer Sofie D'Hoore, blogger and journalist Susanna Lau, Marie Schuller, the head of fashion film at, Nathalie Ours, director of PR Consulting in Paris; Isabella Burley, the editor of Dazed & Confused and finally the only man in the jury, Patrick Van Ommeslaeghe, a Belgian designer and art director who is also an alumni of the Academy.

Feeling overexposed to creativeness and beauty after more than three hours, we chose our top three favourite students. Since everybody always focuses on the Masters, the I Love Belgium team decided to take a closer look at the third year students that stood out and give them a shout out.

Our three favourites:

Edoardo Rossi: "Sunraiser"

Marketa Martiskova: “Life After Life”
